GlowUp — Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 June 2026
1. Agreement
By downloading or using GlowUp ("the app"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What GlowUp is — and what it is not
GlowUp is a tool that helps you track local UV conditions and pace sun exposure to reduce the risk of sunburn.
GlowUp is not medical advice and does not make UV exposure safe or risk-free. Ultraviolet exposure — including any exposure that produces a tan — carries risks including skin damage, premature ageing, and skin cancer. A tan is itself a sign of skin damage. GlowUp helps you avoid burning and pace your exposure; it does not remove the risks of UV exposure. Do not rely on the app as a substitute for professional medical advice, and consult a qualified healthcare professional about your skin and sun exposure — especially if you have a history of skin cancer, photosensitivity, or other risk factors. You use the app and make all sun-exposure decisions at your own risk.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use GlowUp.
4. Subscriptions and billing
GlowUp offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions [e.g. £2.99/week, £5.99/month, £24.99/year — confirm], with a [7-day] free trial where offered. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. [Include any Apple-required unused-trial-forfeiture wording.]
5. Acceptable use
Use the app only for its intended purpose and in line with the law. Do not misuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the app.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. UV and weather data come from third parties and may be inaccurate or unavailable; do not rely on them as your sole basis for sun-exposure decisions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ross Manson, trading as GlowUp is not liable for any harm arising from your use of the app, including sunburn, skin damage, or reliance on its guidance. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. [Confirm.]
